Lily Anne

It's been almost one year since Lily came into our home, and what a wonderful year it has been.  Lily loves going on walks and patrolling the neighborhood from the bay window with her brothers Robinson and Mason.  She loves sunbathing in the yard, going for rides in the car, and wearing cute sweaters in the cold weather.  She does not love the rain.  She does love treats.  We can't imagine a life without her.  Thank you Haven to Home.  Love, Amanda, Robinson and Mason

Tonka

I’m actually not sure what year I adopted Neeko and Tonka, 2010  maybe. I have always been a husky fan, and pittie fan and my husky at the time was getting older. My mom actually saw these two on your site or petfinder and let me know. It said they needed to go together and that was fine. According to one of your volunteers these two were in a bad situation, about 6 months old , in a crate together, too small, covered in crap, eating their own crap. Bad stuff going on and somehow you guys were able to get them. We rode up and got them and brought them home and they counter surfed for quite awhile lol, still can’t trust Tonka with food on the counter and I call Neeko Sneaky Neeky. Neeko was always wary and kind of scared of strangers at first, took awhile to warm up. Tonka was always goofy, in your face, give me attention. I had a rail trail by my old house so I would take them on runs a lot and they became socialized like normal dogs. Neeko no longer hides on the other side of the room when people come over but looks for attention. So they are probably around 6- 7 years old now. They have been great- Tonka is the shorter hair and is still very onery, into everything, never a dull moment but loves attention and his blue squeaky ball. Neeko is the longer hair one, he is more laid back and loves attention.  We have no kids, just the fur kids and we moved last year to MD to 10 acres and and lots of room to run in the yard- we have a pool but no one is into swimming. Sometimes Tonka puts his feet on the top step or gets in the dog baby pool. They love to empty all the water out of the indoor dog dish though. They are well loved and doing well and have their fur sisters to torture lol. Thanks so much for taking them in and getting them out of that hell they were in ! Larra

Nana

This is a HAPPY TAIL! One year ago I met Cindy and she helped me thru the process of adopting NANA (Nanny). Nanny came to live wth me last year on 6/26/2015. The adoption was completed on 7/8/2015. She is just a wonderful dog and loves to go for walks, play and just loves to be with me. She also loves to see company come and visit. Nanny also turned 5 years old on 6/14/2016, so here is to many more birthdays. Thank you Haven to Home Canine Rescue for all that you do.

Harry
Harry

Beau (formerly Harry) continues to amaze me daily. He had two classes for the Canine Good Citizen and he was invited  to visit with the other dogs who go visiting  Riverwoods Nursing Home yesterday.  He was great.  I saw 18 people and 16 held him.  He is learning tricks at the church too.  He continues to be so calm and when I tell the story how I got him, everyone is so impressed how well behaved he is and that  those that turned him down must be crazy.  He is also so cute, they are amazed that he is such a good dog.  When I get every lesson learned he will take a test to see if he can train for a therapy dog.  He has become a bit of a Mama’s boy though.  When I leave the office and my secretary watches him-he whimpers.  Then barrels into my arms.  Paula

Koda

Hi there, Just wanted to pass along a few pics of our boy Koda. Thank you so much for placing him with us. We love him to pieces and he seems to love us back. He's the perfect dog for our family and we couldn't be happier! Just look at his handsome face. Koda has brought more joy to our home than we ever thought possible, and I'm so thankful that we met you and that he was placed here.

Take care and stay in touch!

Angie
